Concerts at The Birchmere
The Birchmere, located at 3701 Mt. Vernon Ave, continues to host an array of musical talents. This week, the lineup includes:
- Jeffrey Osborne: Performing on Friday, May 15, and Saturday, May 16, at 7:30 PM. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster.
Civil War Concert at Fort Ward
Celebrate Armed Forces Day with a special outdoor concert of Civil War-era music:
- 8th Green Machine Regiment Band: Saturday, May 16, from 11 AM to Noon at Fort Ward Museum & Historic Site, 4301 West Braddock Rd. A suggested donation of $2 per person or $5 per family is appreciated.
New Exhibit: ‘Buglers & Brass Bands: Soldier Musicians in the Civil War’
Fort Ward Museum is unveiling a new exhibit exploring the role of music during the Civil War:
- Opening on Saturday, May 16, at 4301 West Braddock Rd. The exhibit will be on view through May 2027.
Yoga on the Magnolia Terrace
Engage in outdoor yoga sessions at Carlyle House Historic Park:
- Sessions are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6 PM, and Saturdays at 9 AM and 10:15 AM. Each class is $10.
